Thanks for stopping by earlier! A few people have looked at mine today and said "hey, that's me!" but yours really does describe me. I remember when I was about 11 years old and my dad was on a business trip and my older sister was out, I put some hot dogs in the broiler for my dinner. About two hours later when the awful B movie I was watching on TV finished I wondered what all that smoke was coming from the kitchen. Fortunately, when you're 11 and on your own, potato chips make a reasonable back-up dinner.
Before I met my sweetie, I actually could cook. Since he's taking over the kitchen, I feel like an amateur in there and he doesn't make it better. I do seem to have lost my way in there.
PJD, great story. I could make a meal out of potato chips too.
Tumblewords, because of that awful burnt smell I try to never burn anything...well, and the taste. :)
Jujee, thank you very much.
Susan, I've never met a man that could cook but if I did, we wouldn't do well if he tried to take over my kitchen. Cooking is one of my greatest pleasures.
